England captain David Beckham has said he would consider becoming an
astronaut and going to the Moon when he ends his playing career.
Asked in an interview with Spanish radio station Onda Cero if he
would go there he said it would be "an experience" if he got the
opportunity.
Speaking partly in Spanish and partly through a translator he denied
rumours he wanted to leave Real Madrid.
Beckham, 30, said he was settling into the Spanish lifestyle.
He said: "The only people that talk about me leaving Real Madrid are
people that maybe want me to leave.
"I am very, very happy here and I want to stay - it is one of the
biggest clubs in the world."
Life in Spain was now "very happy" after a first year which had been
"a bit difficult", he added.
Teaching plan
He had taken to eating later in the day and having the odd siesta, he
revealed.
Beckham said had taken a liking to "jamon" - cured Spanish ham - and
"percebes" - a type of shellfish.
He said he did not want to become a football manager when his playing
days ended.
"When I finish playing football, I just want to teach children in my
academy," he said.
He also said his youngest son Cruz was eating and sleeping well and
was "very handsome".
His normal day involved getting up at 7am to give milk to baby Cruz
before taking eldest son Brooklyn to school and his other son, Romeo, to
nursery.
